Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assistance and dedication to increasing South African Social Security Company (SASSA) solutions throughout an engagement along with the company's senior professionals at a strategic organizing session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled within the 2024 matric exams.
Of the 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% of your registered pupils during the education and learning sector.
These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This means the financial commitment government is creating in the life of inadequate and vulnerable little ones is yielding a positive effects in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe explained.
